On October 5th, a day after we'd had over 150 people out walking precincts and ID'ing voters, was the 6th annual Excelsior Festival.

There are few people who open the City Hall doors the way John Avalos does. He has constantly been there for San Francisco's diverse communities. He listens to our concerns, shows us how to make City Hall work for us and makes us feel like our voice belongs here. John Avalos has been instrumental ensuring tens of millions of dollars for new affordable housing and family support services.
